Directions | Museum MapParking and Accessibility
Parking is available for free in the Museum’s Pan American Building. Street parking is available for the Museum’s Resource Center.
The Museum is fully accessible, with an accessibility entrance to the right of the building and an elevator. A wheelchair is available on a first come, first served basis.
The Museum is self-touring and self-paced, so visiting times will vary. For those interested in a quick visit to the Museum, our feature galleries can be viewed in as little as an hour. For visitors wishing to spend an entire morning or afternoon exploring the history of our region, the artifacts, information, narratives, hands-on activities, and shopping all combine to a longer outing at the Museum.
On average, most spend between one to two hours in the Museum.
No reservations are necessary. Walk-in visitors may purchase tickets any time during Museum hours.
If you have a group of 10 or more or would like a guided tour, please make a reservation with Patrick F. Ryan, Education Coordinator. Patrick can be reached at pryan@buffalohistory.org or (716) 873-9644 ext. 304.
Yes! The Museum welcomes children of all ages with galleries that include a number of hands-on activities for children, from historic props, interactive displays, and our ever popular Train Gallery. Scavenger hunts are available at Guest Services.
